Asian markets close in green territories, China credit data boost sentiment
Green dominated Asian stocks at the end of the last trading session of the week with the support of Chinese data that showed improvement in credit levels before releasing Chinese industrial data in the weekend, as investors await the Fed interest rate decision with the imposition of new sanctions on Russia.
A report published by the People`s Bank of China regarding the high levels of new loans reaching 114.5 billion USD in August, higher than last month and close to expectations, as it rose to 703 billion yuan exponentially from last month, which showed a rise of 385 billion yuan and slightly worse than expectations estimated at 710 billion yuan.
- Chinese CSI 300 ended 0.61% higher at 14.90 and is trading around 2438.36.
- Shanghai Composite ended 0.88% lower at 20.27 and is trading around 2311.95.
Japanese stocks maintained last week`s gains ending trading at its highest level in eight months and stabilized around its lowest level against the Japanese Yen since 2008, at 10:46 GMT +3 the pair is trading around 107.17 levels and recorded the highest at 107.38 and a low of 106.95.
- Japanese Nikkei 225 ended 0.25% higher at 39.63 and is trading around 15948.29.
- Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 ended 0.27% lower at 14.98 and is trading around 5531.14 affected by the poor economic performance and the decline in mining stocks.
