World Travel Market to welcome Saudi Arabia for the first time
World Travel Market (WTM), a leading global event for travel industry, is set to welcome Saudi Arabia for the first time onto its exhibition floor, as the Arabian Kingdom looks forward to invest a great deal into its tourism industry for the coming ten years.
Simon Press, WTM Senior Exhibition Director, affirmed: “I am delighted to see Saudi at World Travel Market this year for the first time; it’s great that the government has put the spotlight on tourism within the Kingdom and can see the huge potential and benefits it is likely to reap."
The exhibition will take place for three days at WTM in London from the 3-6 November. This time, the Saudi Commission for Tourism & Antiquities (SCTA), the country’s national airline Saudi Airlines and Flynas will be on the guest list.
Last year, WTM generated business deals worth more than £2.2 billion with Middle Eastern exhibitors including the UAE through contracts signed with WTM Buyers Club members at the event.
WTM is looking forward to discuss huge business deals with Saudi Arabia this year as it plans to invest over £18 billion in tourism from 2013 to 2023.
This exhibition and upcoming business deals will mainly support and expand the current tourism plan for the Kingdom, and attract more foreign investments to spur growth on the long term.
