Gulf Air to resume Hyderabad flights
The national carrier of Bahrain, Gulf Air, announced today that it will resume in December flights to Hyderabad, the fourth most populous city in India.
As part of cost-cutting strategy, the Bahraini airline actually stopped its services to Hyderabad in 2009.
Five weekly flights to Hyderabad will start from December 15. after that Gulf Air witnessed a strong efficient success and appreciation of its operations to Thiruvananthapuram last year
“We are further strengthening our Indian operations after the successful launch of flights to Thiruvananthapuram in December 2013," said the airline’s acting CEO Maher Salman Al Musallam
"Now with the addition of Hyderabad, our sixth Indian destination, we are connecting south-central India to the Middle East – and we hope this route will appeal to travellers and be just as successful as our existing India operations.”
Also stronger revenues encouraged Gulf Air to re-expand its aviation area with its year-on-year losses reduced by 30 percent in the first half of 2014.
