UAE, Qatar stocks climb in early trade
Qatar and United Arab Emirates saw their stock markets climb as soon as the market opened Sunday as the Morgan Stanley Capital International ( MSCI ) index inclined in the early hours of trade.
The MSCI Index, a stock market index of 1,612 world stocks, was mainly driven by Qatar National Bank and Industries Qatar adding 1.0 and 1.1 percent respectively.
Qatar National Bank and Industries Qatar were also among the major stocks behind the MSCI advance in May of the UAE and Qatar to emerging markets along with Doha Bank and Commercial Bank of Qatar.
Also part of the list behind MSCI recent upgrade was Emaar Properties, which climbed by 1.0 percent and Dubai Islamic Bank, which inclined by 0.3 percent.
