`Dubai Trolley` tram launched across the city
Transportation innovations do not cease to expand in Dubai to attract more tourists and ease transport across the commercial city with recently the launch of Dubai Trolley tram by Emaar.
Dubai Trolley covers a vast distance of 7km to connect the multiple iconic attractions in Dubai downtown to the world`s tallest building, Burh Khalifa and the Dubai Mall, which is now also the world`s most visited retail destination.
“Dubai Trolley is a smart urban mobility service that further builds on the trolley tram systems that are in use in several cities across the US and Europe," said Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties.
"While they were a game-changer in public transport when first invented in the 1880s by introducing a new concept to urban mobility, they are now largely used as tourist attractions," he added.
Dubai Mall only receives millions of visitors from across the world every month and Dubai Trolley will add further entertainment with old fashioned spices when the city is visited.
Just a month ago another renovation transportation system was launched as well, Dubai Tram, along Al Sufouh Road from Dubai Marina to the Burj Al Arab and the Mall of the Emirates.
This new transportation novelty contributed to the growing real estate of the country as it made these regions and residents more attracting, and so far dragged these property prices higher by 150 percent.
Tourism is projected to have a total value of 60 billion dirhams this year, its highest on records, while may reach 80 billion dirhams by 2024, or 12.1 percent of GDP, on expected boost in the infrastructure and hotel projects as Dubai prepares to host the 2020 EXPO.
