Microsoft and du new partnership
Dubai`s giant telecom operator "du" and Microsoft announced a new partnership starting next year to trigger online shopping for Windows device users.
Throughout the partnership du customers have access to instantly purchase online and pay with their mobile account any of Microsoft applications and games from the Windows Phone store.
Such a payment method created by the collaboration of du and Microsoft allow customers to shop from anywhere in the world and purchase within seconds whatever they want.
Du continues on expanding internally and externally with new partnership and ongoing enhanced and innovated services and products for its customers to continue on facing a harsh competition with the UAE`s leading telecommunications services provider, Etisalat.
In the third quarter Du witnessed a jump of its profits by 18% throughout the third quarter.
Du`s net profit jumped to Dh559 million in the third quarter this year from Dh474 million during the same period last year triggered by its mobile data revenues that have increased by 11%.
Du net profits give the telecom operator the strength to continue on competing with other telecom giants such as Etisalat.
In the Dubai stock market exchange at 8:11 GMT Du fell slightly by 0.59% or 0.030 points to 5.070.
