Air Arabia: first low-cost airline to enter the Chinese market
UAE`s low cost airline; Air Arabia, plans starting from next month to begin flying to Urumqi, China to become the first cheap carrier from the Middle East to enter the Chinese market.
Air Arabia announced the public how grateful it is to connect further with China in which the airline plans to launch non-stop return flights from its hub in Sharjah three times a week starting from February 10.
The airline keeps on expanding internationally with its high quality and affordable services serving so far 90 airports across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and Europe, with the latest being Cairo, Egypt.
The low-cost carrier reported a better-than-expected 22% jump in its profits for the third quarter of 2014, with net profits of AED247.4 million ($74.71 million) within the third quarter, up from AED202.7 million the same period last year.
Air Arabia shares climbed today in the Gulf stock exchange market by 1.76% to close at DH1.730.
