UAE: tourist visa fees increase to Dh250 per single entry
Fees for the visit visa of tourists entering the UAE this year have slightly increased to Dh250 per single entry , compared to Dh210 a year ago — a bid by the country to boost tourism revenues.
“The 30-day visit visa is approximately Dh350, and would require a refundable deposit," said a representative of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai.
As for multiple-entry tourist visa, they will now cost almost Dh350 while that visit visa sponsored by residents in the UAE has also increased and been revised.
“The 90-day visit visa is approximately Dh790, and would also need a refundable deposit,” he added.
One of the key sectors in the United Arab Emirates that proved it is eligible to uplift growth is the tourism, which is estimated to represent 10.4 percent of GDP this year, according to a new report by hotelandrest.
Tourism is projected to have a total value of 60 billion dirhams this year, the highest on records, while may reach 80 billion dirhams by 2024, or 12.1 percent of GDP, on the expected boost in the infrastructure and hotel projects as Dubai prepares to host the 2020 EXPO.
