Dubai`s Emirates ranked best airline in 2014
Dubai`s Emirates airways was ranked as the Best Airline in 2014, according to 90,000 customer reviews collected on an annual study developed by eDreams; the largest European e-commerce travel company.
The ranking is based upon the airline ability of baggage handling, modernity of the aircraft, service to customers and entertainment options and Emirates is the only airline among many major ones that managed to score around 4.24 out of 5 within most of the categories.
Emirates plans to expand its private jet division as soon as next year, in a bid to accelerate its business growth beyond the present operations with Airbus aircrafts.
Emirates Airways grew almost by 10% for the financial year ending March 31, with the addition of 24 aircrafts. The number of passengers at the Emirati airline also increased 13.1% with 44.5 million travelling with the airline.
Aviation activities are expected to contribute 37.5% to Dubai`s GDP in the coming years.
