| | Dubai tops luxury destinations in 2014
Dubai topped the list of destinations frequented by wealthy people in the Middle East and North Africa in 2014, according to a study conducted by YouGov, an international research firm.
According to the study, the most important thing to those who target luxury places is relaxation. It was found that four out of 5 passengers were interested in this aspect, while the study indicated that 58% of visitors to Dubai are doing it just for the love of exploration, and 43% of them do it to live unique experiences and engage in adventures.
The General Manager of the Sheraton Creek Hotel in Dubai Stephan Vanden Auweele stressed that Dubai is one of the best tourist destinations in the region, as it combines the nobility of the past and the originality and charm of the present.
Dubai, the second largest emirate in the union, is the economic capital of the United Arab Emirates. The government of Dubai adopts free market economy to attract visitors and doesn’t depend on oil revenues in its income; however, it depends on tourism, trade and financial services.
